A Photo of Me Taken Over Ten Years Ago

Oh, those bangs....

I'm going to post two. First, is my first grade picture. Believe it or not, I actually had a barrette "holding my hair back" in this picture. It was my favorite barrette. It was one of those barrettes that looked like a bow. This one was white lace. I thought it was suuuuuper pretty. Anyway. Half of my hair had been pulled back and secured with the barrette. But pictures were taken after lunch. Whoever decided to have the first graders go after lunch didn't know much about first graders. So my hair is pathetic. And I can't remember why I decided to smile with a closed mouth, but it was, in fact, deliberate. I never made that mistake again.

Jake decided to take a picture of us in bed when it was pitch black. So when the flash went off, it blinded me, and I tried not to make this face, but couldn't help myself. The flash was bright. It makes me laugh every time I see it.
